Happy Earth Day

I'm spending the day planting things like okra, squash, cucumbers, and green beans. It's supposed to be in the high 90's today. Yikes! What happened to spring?

Mother's Day Kit

Mother's day is comming up! I always try to find or make someting extra special for my mom and mother inlaw. Throughout the year I have been saving some really cool vintage "mother" items. I had more than I could use so I made a few kits and listed them in my shop.

Earth Hour USA

Today is Earth Hour day! My family is going to participate and you can too! On March 28, 2009 at 8:30 p.m. local time, you will join hundreds of millions of people around the world in making a bold statement about climate change. By turning off your lights for one hour, Earth Hour, you will send a message that Americans care about this issue and stand with the rest of the world in finding solutions to the escalating climate crisis. This is such a simple fun thing to do that could really make a difference. We are even taking advantage of this hour to play board games by candlelight as a family. I hope you will join in too!

Easter Baskets, Maggie Mays, and Give Aways

Busy Bee

I have been creating and creating! I will be listing lots of spring and Easter pretties soon! Thanks for all the complements on my banner! I finally like the "look" of my blog so I will leave it alone for awhile! I know you must get tired of my constant rearranging! I do that with furniture too! And my husband really gets sick of it! Babies On the Brain

My sisters baby shower was this past weekend so I have babies on the brain. Wow has baby stuff come a long way in 9 years!!! I just can't wait to meet my new niece. I'm hoping she is born on spring break so I can go see her.

While I'm in baby mode I put together all my best vintage baby stuff and packed it into a pretty box. I'm offering it in my shop.

A Splurge

Sometimes when I'm really feeling blah and cant find my muse I treat myself to a new tool. I had been eyeing the Zutter bind-it-all for awhile but just didn't want to pay that much. Well last week they went on sale at Hobby Lobby and had a new and improved pink one!! I took it as a sign to buy one. So far I have made two books. I adore the one I made with vintage postcards. I think it would make a super cute road trip scrapbook. I will be making more and adding them to my shop soon. I think I will use bingo cards, postcards, book covers, and more of my ephemera to make some. I might even make some kits so you can create one too!

Our Trip

Here are just a few pictures from our camping trip. Just look at that Texas sky! The stars at night where breath taking. We had a lot of fun and did a bunch of hiking and biking.( I'm STILL sore) I'm working on new stuff for the shop and I'm planing a give away soon! I will have a picture tour of my studio soon too. Hi y'all I know I have been completely absent from the "Internet world". I am just so so busy! I'm making the decorations for my son's cub scout Big Blue and Gold banquet, hosting my sisters baby shower (I'm getting a niece. WHOO HOOO!!!!), and tyring to plan a camping trip for this weekend. I got some of the sweetest gifts from a pal today! Thank you Madai. I wish everyone a wonderful Valentines day! I will be turning 32! I will be back to blogging next week!

I thought I would answer some questions I get from you.

1. The paint color in my studio is Valspar Sea Kiss-Love it!

2. My camera is a Canon PowerShot A540-Its good for the price

3. The new software I have been using is Pint Artist- I don't really like it, I would love Photo Shop

4. I live in town but have a big yard-my dream is to live on a farm in the middle of nowhere

5.I got chickens for the eggs, because both my grandmas had chickens and I loved gathering the eggs, and they were the only "farm animal" I could have in my backyard. They are pets to us now.

6.I have one son age 9, and two stepsons age 6 and 8. I have been married 4 years to my husband.

7. I started exploring art less than 2 years ago. I am completely self taught.

If you have any other questions I would love to answer them so ask away.

I am still working on my studio. I got these fabulous tags off e-bay and have been using them to organize my stuff. I thought I would reproduce them and put them in my shop.

Iced In

No school today! Its very icy here but no snow yet. We haven't seen a single snow flake or rain drop this winter so the moisture is very welcomed! And of course on cozy days like this you MUST drop everything and craft with the kids. I made this prize ribbon and some sugared (glass glitter) peonies. The light wasn't great for pictures but I thought I would share. I hope your getting to craft today too.
