I recently found a new blog A Vintage Journey. It is a Tim Holtz Challenge Blog. Tim is my all
time favorite crafter so this challenge was a breeze.
For this tag I used the Butterfly and Moth stamp by Tim. I cut and colored them with
distress ink. Then I covered them in rock candy paint. The paper is the new Wallflower collection. Take flight is a Tim Holtz rub on. I LOVE getting inky!
So spectacular! I love it! My eye was drawn to your tag immediately! Your coloring is really stellar. Outstanding work on this one! I love a Vintage Journey too! :-D
ReplyDeleteLove this project - it definitely looks like a display of butterflies from the Victorian era with the label too!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Tag Brandy. Love the stitching and beautiful butterflies. Karen.x
ReplyDeleteBrandy....your tag is gorgeous!I so love the vintage feel of it! The dimensional butterflies are fabulous. I love how you have colorized each one. The background of the paper that is stitched to another paper then mounted on the larger spritzed and mottled brown tag is truly beautiful. The addition of the little metal piece with "take flight" is really a nice addition as well. Thanks for sharing your art with us at A Vintage Journey. <3 Candy
ReplyDeleteReally lovely use of those butterflies - beautifully tinted, and the word label is so cool. Love the script behind them too, and the inky splodges of the background layer. Thanks for joining us on A Vintage Journey.
