Growing Right Before My Eyes

I feel like my little Shop is growing so fast! I have had over 1000 sales! I feel so blessed to be able to do what I love and still be there for my family.
My Halloween kits were featured in a cool magazine called Today's Vintage. Its full of some great ideas on decorating with vintage things and has some fabulous shops in it. They were sweet enough to send me two copies and since I know so many of you would also love it I am giving one away. And in celebration of my 1000th sale I am also giving away a spooky skeleton guy, and a Halloween tag kit! I will announce the lucky winner Friday October the 10th! All you have to do is leave a comment on any post between now and then and I will draw a winner.

I still have some VERY fun news I will be announcing soon too! So see you soon!

Postcards

I LOVE postcards and collect them. I have been wanting to make my own for my etsy shop for a long time. This is my first set. I saw a antique Victorian furniture catalog and just fell in love with the sepia tones. I am obsessed with ivory and black right now. I would love to have a whole room with nothing but those colors. Move over aqua...I may have a new favorite color!

This weekend I will be announcing some really fun news that I think you will like so check back soon!

Trading Scary For Sparkly

At least for a little while. I needed a glitter fix. I made this Vintage Embellishment Paper Pocket. I just LOVE putting together these little kits of vintage this and that. I think I love it so much because each one is different and lovingly created with time and care. And they really highlight those tiny special treasures I find like delicate lace and rare buttons. Its brings the beauty of tiny things out. I plan to make all different kinds. You can find them in my shop!

Chicken Update!

I thought I would give you an update on my chickens. They have all there grownup feathers now but will not be laying eggs for a month or two. One is a rooster. This is all the pictures I could take this morning before he (the rooster) started to angrily peck at my shoe. He said "enough pictures of my woman! Beat it!) And Scrappy-doo (my Dog) was watching and would have none of that! He was not going to let some feather bag peck his mom. So as you can image the photo shoot was cut short due to flying feathers and mayhem. No one was hurt. Well except scrappy-doos feelings when he got scolded. He hates the chickens. And Sniffiles (my fat cat) loves the chickens for all the wrong reasons. Why can't they all just get along. Sigh....there is just too much drama. hehe

It Was A Dark, Rainy, Dreary, Day

A perfect day to bring out my spooky friends to play! There was the Sinister Sisters (let me tell you these girls give me chills), Royal Jesters Of The Dead (not very funny, but very spooky), wicked ravens, adorable owls, cool bats, and some naughty pumpkin kids. As you can see I had a lot of fun. Oh...and there is glitter EVERYWHERE. You can find my spooky friends in my
shop now or soon.

BOO!

Halloween Halloween! I LOVE Halloween. My kits are finally done. You can find them in my shop. Here are some pictures of the kits and some spooky things I have been making with my supplies.

Also here is a tip for using the kits:

1.Cover the skull in glitter by coating it in Elmer's glue and sprinkling glitter over it. You can spray a clear coat of sealer to keep all the glitter in. You can make him a little crown with the Dresden trim.
2. Use the moss to make creepy plants around a haunted house
3. Find a old bottle and fill w/food coloring and water and add the spooky label rub on from the kit

Home...Home...on the range...where the deer and armadillo play!

I just thought I would share some pictures from our camping trip. Isn't the little baby armadillo cute? I think my favorite part of the whole trip was how close we got to all the wildlife. This is our camping set up. We take everything including the kitchen sink! I can't wait to do some fall camping! Now if we could only find the time.
