Today is Papertreys January blog hop!
The challenge was to use a black background.

clear embossing looks on it!

6x6 Paper Scraps & Ink Storage

I thought I would share with you how I store some of my supplies today. Since I have taken up card making I have been collecting 6x6 paper pads. They fit perfectly in this basket I bought at Hobby Lobby. Its very sturdy and has a great handle. It has held up really well for all the traveling back and forth from shelf to table. Those paper pads may be small but all added up can weigh quite a bit.
Now I really like to save every tiny scrap of paper. But, I also want to know what paper pad it came from. I take a glassine resealable bag and attache it to the back of the paper pad using my ATG gun making sure the top or flap is on the front. Now I have a pocket to store all my scraps in! So far this has worked really great for me.
I thought I would also show you my current ink storage. I'm not in love with it because its not portable but its doing the job of seeing all my ink easily. I bought a Expandable Shelf Organizer from Lowe's. I just put it in my shelf and added ink. It also works great for storing wood stamps.

I added a "Follow Me" button at the top right side of my blog.

Make It Monday #41: Essential Glue Pad Tips

Wow my make it Monday is actually on Monday for once! This Papertrey Ink challenge was to use glitter, flock, or Perfect Pearls with an Essential Glue Pad. I made several attempts before I was happy with the results. Glue pads seem to be a little finicky. I think this tag looks so pretty on this Kraft wrapped package. I also added the handmade frosted pine cones and glittered fern clothes pins. I really love how the tag turned out and I think I will be using this technique more. Thanks for stopping by!

I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween! Ours was superb! I must say however I am ecstatic it is over! Halloween is the busiest time in my shop. I start on it in the early summer. So as you can image I am SO over it. I'm late with my Christmas holiday items as usual but I will start listing them very soon! This year besides my Banners, cards, and tags I have lots of handmade supplies perfect for card making, scrapbooking, and gift embellishing. I am only offering a limited quantity this year. Through my new found love of card making I recently found the company Papertrey Ink. I was absolutely blow away at the quality of their products. Its like someone saw my wish list for paper crafts and it magically appeared. All of their items color coordinate, their stamps are amazing, and they have 110 lb cardstock in the perfect colors. They are having a crazy huge giveaway right now so I made this card to enter it. By the way I have not been paid or compensated in ANY way for this post. I'm just super impressed with Papertrey Ink. I was planing on a future post about them and thought this would be as good time as any. The stamp I used is Mat Stack 3. So far its my favorite!
