Belinda The Little Witch

I have something to share that I worked really hard on. I created some new Vintage Halloween items for my shop. It all started with a little story in my head and my sketch pad. Using sketches is new to me and I must say I'm really loving the idea. This is the story of Belinda the Little Witch!
It was Belinda’s first year at Witchcraft Academy. Her very favorite classes were “Animal Husbandry” and “You and Your Familiar“. She found her true passion was spending time in the Bat Belfry. Belinda loved sitting in the Belfry tower at dusk as the bats left for the night!
I can imagine a little girl having a Birthday party or Halloween party and using all of these handmade supplies. I also can see it all set up in a barn for a Autumn or Harvest party. Can't you see all the candles, pumpkins, and silhouettes?! So fun! I hope its a success I worked really hard on it.

This week and next week are crazy for me. School starts the 22nd. My husbands b-day is this weekend. My Keegans' birthday party is the next weekend. Plus there is shopping, dentist appt, doc appt, band equipment,  hair cuts etc. Phew I'm already tired! However I did manage to put together a mini Halloween kits. I loved how everything looked in little piles on my kitchen table. So I took a few pictures. I kind of made a story to go along with my little collage.

A sweet little witch entered her jar of Pickled Eyeballs in the Spooky County Fair. And she won first place and got a ribbon! Hehe I think the heat is getting to me! If your interested in purchasing one of the kits they are in my shop!

I know Halloween! Has she gone crazy you ask? Last year I had request to offer my Halloween Craft kits earlier in the year. So here it is in June and you can find them at Brandywine Design! I also have new spooky labels, cupcake picks, and tags coming out. I have a limited quantity on the kits and when they are gone there gone! Happy crafting!!

It seems like I have been waiting forever to make this post. The moment has arrived and I'm still pinching myself. My work is in the Better Homes and Gardens Special Interest Publication: Halloween Tricks & Treats. On page 78 the article Welcome All Spirits begins. I made the invitation, napkins, drink labels, paper for menu, and Welcome all Spirits banner. I can not believe two full page pictures, feature my work along with bits and pieces throughout. Its on the BHG web site too! They have templates and instructions to make your own invitation, napkins, and drink labels. Of course if you would rather buy them you can find similar items in my shop. (yes I know shameless plug) I'm especially proud to say they found me through my ETSY shop. I absolutely adore the whole party set up in the magazine. Its soo me! Cream and black, lace covered pumpkins, scary and a little morbid but not gross, Victorian, and spirits. A lot of people have been asking me to "share my secret" on how to get published. I will give you my humble advice on that in a later post. You can purchase the magazine just about anywhere, walmart, grocery stores, etc. Its full of How To party ideas. Halloween Delights And Cake

I just wanted you to know my shop is bursting at the seems with Halloween delights. I've decided to be wild and get my Halloween decor out in September. I just love it that much! Back to work. Tomorrow is my Keegan's birthday party. I'm making a Super Mario cake. I'll show you pics only if it turns out well. I'm crossing my fingers. Have a great weekend.
